Hello,
So it turns out I've kind of got addicted to this digital painting lark so I've decided to create a new account for all my illustration work. You can find it here --> RowenaJames.
I'll still be posting my photography here, but it just felt easier to separate the two out :-)
Hooked on Painting
So I've been on and off this site for the past 6 years, and for the most part my focus has been photography. Now don't get me wrong, I still love photography, and you can still expect to see new photos on here, but over the last 6 months or so I've started playing around with a wacom tablet and I have to admit, I'm slightly hooked. I've always loved drawing, but with digital painting, although so many of the essential drawing skills are still important, I feel like I'm learning all over again, and there's something slightly addictive about that feeling of discovering new techniques and pushing the boundaries of what I thought I could do.
So
And back again :)
Wowzers, so it looks like the last time I was really here was 2 years ago! Can't believe it was that long, but I guess I had a lot going on. For a start I just got a place on an art course so I'm more than inspired with photography again, and also some more traditional stuff. Also just got back form 2 weeks in Scotland which was amazing (the scenery and wildlife is just stunning) and that's given me a bit of a kick to get back on here again.
So if anyone out there is still watching then firstly :wave: and thank you! And secondly, prepare for an onslaught of Scottish photography :D (and maybe the odd drawing ;))

Summer and Features
Well, I'm back. Again! :D The last 6 months I've had so much going on that I just haven't had a chance to get on :( Buuuut, things finally seem to be settling down again and the last few weeks I've had chance to catch up on doing some of the things I love doing, including a bit of traditional art, which I haven't done for aaaaages! And I've got the rest of the summer to carry on doing all those things :D I've also had the chance to work on some new photos, so one or two of those might be appearing in the next few weeks ;)
